Gisele: A gorgeous model with a name that even sounds pretty. Not that we need more reasons to be jealous of her, but a new report recently revealed that Gisele Bundchen is the highest paid model. The Brazilian Victoria’s Secret model raked in over S35 Million this past year. IN ONE YEAR! She also ranks 16th richest woman in entertainment, estimated now being worth $150 Million! Interestingly enough, Gisele wants to be paid in anything other than American Currency. Gisele’s sister and manager says that “Contracts starting now are more attractive in Euros because we don’t know what will happen to the dollar.”

Giselle is the face of over 20 brands internationally, including big names such as Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, and Victoria’s Secret to name a few. She has also been featured on more magazine covers that any other supermodel. Even though she has millions, she still takes time to help those less fortunate. She donates to many humanitarian organizations, lending her name and money to worthy causes varying from HIV awareness to cancer research foundations. (Could this model be anymore perfect??) Others models making the big bucks include Heidi Klum ($14 million), Kate Moss ($7.5 million), Adriana Lima ($7 million), and Doutzen Kroes ($6 million).

America’s Next Top Model Winner Cycle 9: Saleisha Stowers

When it came down to the finale of Cycle 9, two gorgeous girls had the judges deliberating their hearts out. Both Saleisha and Chantal, the remaining beauties, were the best ANTM had ever seen. When it came down to decision time the judges were sold through Saleisha’s sassy walk and innocent personality. Although she undoubtedly took amazing pictures, her title had been criticized for formerly knowing Tyra. As a teen she went to Tyra’s modeling camp and later appeared on her talk show.

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 10: Whitney Thompson

Whitney broke a new mold when crowned the winner of ANTM Cycle 10. She is the first plus sized model to ever win. Although she is titled “plus sized”, she is merely full-figured and healthy. This is a huge stance for her modeling career, saying that, “I’m not going to lose 50 pounds — if someone asks me to do that, I’ll go to another [modeling] agency.” Overall she won the judges with her beauty, confidence, and bubbly personality.

It is a sad day for Promo Models as one of there own, Kristy Lee Cook, gets voted off of ‘American Idol’, Season 7.

It was Mariah Carey night and Kristy’s country vocals just couldn’t hold up to the pop diva’s. Kristy performed “Forever”, maybe it was wishful thinking, but it didn’t earn the votes she needed to continue on her quest to be the next ‘American Idol’.

I give Kristy a ton of credit; it takes a lot of courage to even attempt to belt out a Mariah Carey song in the shower let alone in front of the entire Nation. She did a good job owning the song, giving it her own country flare. And while she was all country, the night belonged to Mr. Rock-n-Roll, David Cook. David stole the show with his rendition of “Always Be My Baby”, believe it or not!  His performance was flawless, completely original, sounded amazing, I could go on and on….but I won’t. Let me know what your thoughts are!

Kristy gave Dolly Parton’s ‘Coat of Many Colors’ her own twist and it sounded great!

Paula proclaimed it Kristy’s best performance while Simon said it was forgettable, boo Simon! Kristy laughed off Simon’s criticism and blew him a kiss, way to go Kristy!

Bravo’s tradition of exceptional reality programming continues as it chronicles the fascinating and intricate process of the “Million Dollar Matchmaker.” Patti Stanger, a third generation expert in the art of bringing people together, uses modern techniques intertwined with the traditional art of matchmaking, to enable true love.

Patti Stanger is the young, sexy president and owner of the world-renowned Millionaire’s Club, where the elite go to find love. The Millionaire’s Club is one of the most upscale executive matchmaking services in the nation, introducing extremely wealthy men to women handpicked through its rigorous screening and intensive recruiting efforts. Patti insists all of her clients be seeking long-term, monogamous relationships. Not just any woman with a taste for the good life or any man with a big bank account is allowed to join. As the name implies, The Millionaire’s Club is incredibly exclusive. Patti screens each potential member very carefully, and upon acceptance guides the client with her expert advice.

Two lucky Promo Models, Tara and Cidney (pictured below), had what it took to get a date with a millionaire.  

Tara - Episode #2 (excerpt): Jeff takes Tara to a castle in northern California for an evening of wine tasting. She’s thrilled to be in the company of such a fun-loving millionaire.

Cidney - Episode #7 (excerpt):  Paul whisks Cidney away for a spectacular evening in Las Vegas. Over dinner they realize they share a lot of the same goals and interests and a helicopter ride over the strip gets the romantic juices flowing. As they sip a glass of wine back at Paul’s condo, the quintessential businessman takes a risk he never thought possible – he asks Cidney to marry him. A shocked Cidney responds with a solid “I will consider it” but she wants them to get to know each other better.

One of our very own Promo Models, Kristy Lee Cook, is a finalist currently competing in ‘American Idol’ Season 7. The twenty-four year old aspiring model/singer is not only gorgeous but has the voice of a country angel.

Kristy has been a Promo Model since 2006, her profile showcases some of her awards including: Female Vocalist of the Year 2004 for the Terry Awards & Winner of the Winstar Casinos Talent Contest.

When asked why she would be a great Promo Model, Kristy answered, “Because I am very outgoing, easy to work with, reliable, and I am a very quick learner!”  Looks like she’s getting a crash course in how to be the next ’American Idol’, good luck Kristy!

On April 12^th, Boca Raton’s Rescue Rehab Homes is holding a Vegas Night fundraiser complete with gambling, music, food, silent auctions and our Promo Models working the Deal or No Deal - Style raffle to increase donations.  The upscale attendance as well as our models will get the special treat of having Saved by the Bell/Dancing with the Star’s Mario Lopez as their celebrity host for the night! 

Rescue Rehab Homes works hard to succeed in their mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and sheltering dogs who have been neglected, abused, and abandoned.  They never give up on any dog and strive to show each one that they can have a happy, quality life with the motto “It’s not a second chance, it’s the chance they never had.”  Promo Models is so proud to contribute to Rescue Rehab’s cause!  If you would like to contribute to the cause as well, Rescue Rehab Homes is always accepting donations and adoption inquiries at www.rescuerehabhome.org.

27 of our models did a large promotion in L.A. this month for FOX’S new movie, 27 Dresses, starring Katherine Heigl. Each one, a Heigl look-a-like, strutted the streets, handed our fliers, and modeled for pictures. The girls were even featured on Entertainment Tonight while promoting and could be seen on the show nationwide!

Right now, the girls are on the road hitting 12 different cities for pre-screenings of the movie. I’m going to be so jealous if they get to meet Katherine Heigl! I love her After Knocked Up, I can’t wait to see the laughs this movie has in store for us.

In addition, Kristen also participates in a sketch comedy group called Easily Distracted in L.A. It was recently in the LA Comedy Festival which only chooses 15-20 sketch comedies from around the world so it MUST be good! If you’re ever in LA and need something to do, check it out.

On Saturday, December 8th, Promo Models will sponsor the “Venice Art and Fashion Show” in Los Angeles, CA. Frank Murphy and Barbara Reardon (ZSEGA) are organizing a private event for approximately 200 high-profile professionals from the Entertainment and the Fashion Industry. The Event is featuring the Fine Arts of America Martin and introducing the ‘08 Spring Collection of ZSEGA designer clothing line. All the exhibited art/clothing will be available for purchase at the event and 10% of all proceeds will go to P.S Arts!

P.S. ARTS is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring arts education in public schools by providing comprehensive, skills based classes in dance, music, theater and visual arts. P.S. ARTS serves thousands of children in some of the most poverty-stricken neighborhoods in California. The Venice Art and Fashion show and Promo Models are proud to go Green!

ZSEGA is very conscious about environmental sustainability, therefore we feel compelled to promote the principals of the Green Philosophy behind the event. People will be able to enjoy vegan food by Euphoria Loves Rawvolution, Earth Friendly Ice Water, and VeeV spirit. There will also be recycle bins at the “solar-powered venue”, biodegradable plates and utensils, and all of the flyers will be printed on recycled paper. Promo Models is proud to be a part of ZSEGA’s green philosophy:).

This is some of our most exciting news yet! Tara G. is starring in Lake Dead, out last Friday, November 9th. It’s a horror movie about 3 sisters that go back to visit their dead grandfather’s home only to find a family of psychos have moved in. I haven’t seen it yet, but I’m going to head to the theater this weekend and check it out. If any of you have some free time this weekend, go show her some support and see the movie

Last night was the season premiere of Project Runway’s Season 4. All in all, I enjoyed it and while I was at first skeptical about these new designers, in the end, I really liked about half of them. That, of course, will probably change as we delve deeper into the season and cocky and crazy personality types come out, but at least there is some talent!

What I do have to say is what I was disappointed in the most were the models! Normally, my favorite part of Project Runway is the runway show, but I didn’t think many of the models could actually walk. Some of them looked so awkward it was painful to watch them. Hopefully it was due to the outfits or nerves and they’ll shape up in the next episode.
